Ziling Yu explores the relationship between materials, architectural elements, and the shifting contexts they occupy. Coming from her hometown’s urban landscape and now living in London, she often finds herself navigating between two environments, observing how architectural forms, textures, and memories evolve as they are placed in new settings. Through reconstruction and juxtaposition, she reconfigures architectural elements that were once rooted in specific places and histories, transforming them into ambiguous and unfamiliar forms.
